Anyone want to make some $ installing some springs ?
Hey guys, just bought some springs from Rachel an had a quote to install my springs for $400. Seems a bit steep i.m.o . Any good recommendations or if you know how to do it and would like to make some cash, throw me your price and date an we can work from there. Thanks !
Installing these on my stock struts in case your wondering. |

Springs aren't as easy as say coilovers so thats why some shops will cost the labor like that. Where have you looked for the work? Have you tried ACE in Tewksbury or North Shore Motor Werks?

Nope haven't tried those shops yet. Yeah I did a few researches and a lot of people has had them done under $300. Then again prices could of went up now. But I'll give your 2 choices a shot and see what can I get, thanks.

I did my own springs. It's a really simple, but super annoying job b/c our springs are curved when unloaded, so when you compress them in to the mounts, you have to make sure they compress straight.
But, you CAN do it yourself, using 2 sets of spring compressors borrowed from any autozone. Seriously, it's obnoxious. $400 is a good deal, imo. Or you can buy my 135i M sport with all new OEM suspension, and save yourself the hassle. $15,000. Seriously, it's for sale. |
