My red jeep has been hit, and almost got hit again the other day, not sure how anyone misses it, it's raised up and in plain sight.

sorry for you and your car man.... definitely consider a not so red car next time you're looking. I don't know how people miss them, but i've only ever been rear ended in red vehicles.

Wow. Hope you get everything back together. But I must say, BMW brakes are darn good.

Not sure how insurance works where you are, but here, you're 0% responsible for getting hit from behind, but you're responsible (in most cases) for hitting someone in front of you. If someone hits you, and you go into that car in front of you, you're liable for their damages.

Best to take your chances and leave plenty of room between you and the car in front, so that at least you have room to move up if the guy behind you is coming in too quick or (knock on wood) he hits you.

I FEEL YOUR PAIN. I got rearend by a woman in a minivan about 6 months ago. I had been stopped for a LONG time. Took 6 weeks, 4 rental cars, $8,000 and threat of legal action to get it fixed. PEOPLE SUCK AT DRIVING.
