N55 Loss Of Power No Dash Lights Other symptoms. Help?

Hello this is my first post but I have lurked for quite some time and I have searched so before you command my flame suit I'd like to get some opinions.

Car:
2011 135i 6sp Stock except for AA exhaust Gen 2 Axel back and resonator delete.
55,675 miles as of this morning.
I only use premium chevron and it is driven spirited like it should. I let it warm up to at least 200 degrees on the oil temp gauge (don't know how accurate) before I shift above 2,700 RPM.

Issues.
two days ago hopped on the freeway and the car was at 190 degrees and it would not warm up any more for the next 20 miles. When I thought it was odd I gave it additional throttle. the result was absolutely zero response no turbo spool and no power what soever. I pulled over restarted the car and the temp very quickly rose to its typical 240-250 ish. and it was back to normal maybe even a little bit more responsive. Then the other day at a stop light with the car warm in neutral and no funny conditions the car sputtered and died with no dash lights or anything. I restarted it and it was fine. sometimes on cold start it idles rough but not extremely bad.

Any suggestions? my belief is carbon build up on the valves or bad plugs but I would think I would get a light or something for misfire. All Maintenance is up to date.

Borrow a Bt cable from someone and log it or get a jb4 and log ( you know you will buy a jb4 eventually )

Do you every get long crank start at all??
if so it maybe your HPFP at a early stage.

I had long crank start evey now and then and lost of power.
65,400kms atm. It started about 57-58,000kms, no limp mode what so ever or stalling.
Only to find out from my dealer when ive taken it in for a service and metion the symtoms

crank starts are long sometimes i guess they are slightly longer on occasion. HFPF is easy fix so that would be great

Still sounds like a fuel pump issue. Have you previously gotten the fuel pump ruled out? It was a little less common on the n55 but still happened enough to notice

It could be an issue with the Valvetronic system, my N55 did the same thing. BMW updated the software which ruined the car, so be aware of that if you take it to a dealer & it's not the HPFP.

I'm on my mobile so I can't link the thread, but check out the thread that says "N55 DCT stalling/dying" or something like that. It seems like you are having the same software SIB issue that causes the problems you are experiencing. Might just be as simple as getting the software update. Good luck
