Thanks for all the advice, guys! Soo, I've pretty much gone against a bunch of it and pending a good PPI, I'll have a 135 in the driveway in a week or so! It was game over when I got behind the wheel during the test drive. I needed it.

I have tried to be semi-smart about it, though. Water pump, turbos, VANOS solenoids, and HPFP have all been replaced in less than 20k miles. Only reason I went to test drive it.

Possibly in the driveway after good PPI

That sounds like a great choice actually. All the consumables replaced
already. Keep the news coming, inquiring minds need to know.

You have to be stoked!

Sounds like my experience as well. Started looking into 128, then went for a test drive in an '11 135i w/ DCT & it was on!

Bought the Jet Black/Coral Red 128i near Boston, listed in the 'for sale' section . Lots of suspension mods! Now that I have silenced the dashboard noises, I am very happy (moving on from an E46 M3 as a result!).

I think you made a good choice, OP. Hope the PPI works out for you. Let us know how it goes.

That was a nice looking car with tasteful mods. Nice choice.

OP, I hope it's worth it.

Today was the day! Mechanic went through and found zero issues. Drove her home through a thunderstorm, so I was gentle, but when I gave some throttle, good God... I was very glad to buy a fellow enthusiast's car. He kept it in amazing shape.
