DIY chrome kidney grills
I know, most of you (expecially the US guys) won't like chrome and will disapprove this mod; many of you will think that's not worth a while, since the OEM chrome grills aren't that expensive. But I like chrome, I think that it fits perfect on my grey E82 and I just want to try a cheap way to see if the chrome grills look fine on my car.
That's why, after reading about it on an italian bimmer forum, I bought this 3.40€ (discounted ) chromed metallic tape: I removed and cleaned the grills, and finally chromed! Before/after: Both chromed: No grills: Chrome grills: I love it, you have to be very close to notice the difference with the OEM one! And only for 3.40€. |

I love it! Question though... how the hell did you put it over the existing black? Does it just slip over it?
Nice little mod! Better than painting!

Can't say I'm a big fan of the chrome, but I admire your initiative. Good job!
