While I appreciate you being so logical about it now (which is very easy considering all these points were already made), the fact of the matter is that somewhere there is a line of morality. By taking pictures of a dog that is either dead or injured because of an accident that the OP was involved in, is where the line had been crossed.
To me, regardless of whether it was miscommunication, I would never think to take photographs of a recently deceased animal when I am the one that resulted in the animals death. Ultimately, that seems quite disturbing and very off putting that someone would do something like that. Quote:

poor dog but your car doesnt look too bad. Assuming there is no structural damage, looks like you just need a headlight, hardware, bumper and fender, all which can easily be replaced.

In south america there are unfortunately a lot of free running animals like cats and dogs. Left by their owners many times. Guess that increase the risk of those kind of accidents. Over here dogs are not even allowed to run freely without the owner close by. Poor animal!

I'm an absolute dog lover, and yes, the pic of the dog was unnecessary; but guys, give the guy a break - this is a 1M forum and he was bummed about the damage to the car - no need to tear the op apart
