'00 323 wheels fit '09 135i?

I want to pick up a pair of winter wheels and tires and a friend of mine is offering up his old aftermarket wheels. He had a 2000 323. Is there any way to know in advance whether or not they will fit on my '09 135i.

Look at the offsets, the wheels should have an ET number stamped somewhere usually inside near the hub. Then check out the wheels thread for what others have successfully fitted. As they are aftermarket you cant rely on them being fitted to a 323 as a reliable indication of fitment, ps is that an E46 or E36 3 series? its just after the model change and it may be a late e36?

E46 offsets were generally closer to E82 offsets than E90, so there's a good chance that they will have a 47mm offset, and 52 for the rears, if they're the offset sport wheels. Match them up here to check:

What are the width, offsets, and tire sizes you'll be using? We would need to know that to accurately gauge if you have any kind of issues.

Apart from discussing offset, what size are they, for lower-end 3-series models usually got small wheels (still do), and nothing smaller than 17" will fit your 135i in the first place.
