135i with my 2002's
Hello all,
I had a nice, warm day here in Northeast Ohio to wash some of the dirt off the cars, so I thought I'd take a few pics of the cars. My wife took our good digital camera to Philly with her for work, so I was stuck trying to use my GoPro and crappy video camera to take pics, so I apologize in advance for the poor quality. I tried to screw around with them a little bit to make them more interesting.... Red car is a 1970 2002, 4 speed, lowered on billy sports, full poly bushings, electronic ignition, 32/36 weber, Korman 22mm front and 19mm rear sways, set up for auto-crossing. Grey car is a 1976 2002, automatic, stock other than Weber 32/36. It's more of a cruising car, and my wife drives it to work most days. The other, obviously, 2011 135i Black Sapphire Metallic w/ Coral Red, M Sport Package, 6 speed Manual Again, sorry for the crappy quality.... and a few older ones of my '70 2002....hope you guys enjoy. photo by Jason Gipson |

I'm pretty sure they are ASA's. I bought them off a forum member as a winter set up with the blizzaks. I put them on as soon as I got them, but I didn't check the numbers on them or anything. I actually like them much better than the stock 261 rims that came on the car. I'm going to be putting the 261's up for sale this week so I can get something new before the snow tires need to come off.
Thanks for the kind words guys. |

I know the P.O. bought the setup from Tirerack...looking at their site and knowing what he paid for them new, I'm going to guess they're the ASA GT-1 with BMW center caps...

Great post, oldskool, and particularly for me because a gray (same as yours) 1974 2002 is what got me fascinated with BMWs from back in '85 as an 11-year old starting high school. The mother of 2 kids in my class drove it - a stick - which she would literally race into the parking lot and peel away in every morning as she would be late for work, every morning! I would get to school early enough to wait, watch and listen as she drove in and out. Your pics bring back these great memories, man. Thanks again.

Man I miss having front and backyards like I had at my house in Ohio. We have houses side by side in Phoenix. Sorry, off topic. But seeing your front yard made me miss Columbus. Nice action shot of the 2002 BTW.
