Cool Carbons
After work I'm going to go home and get the car up on jack stands and install cool carbon pads at all 4 corners + flush with Motul 660
Then probably drink a few beers and watch a previously recorded DTM race!

ok boys.... the 1m/m3 subframe bushings are in my beast..... and oh my dear... this is the must do mod.... this is how it should have came from the factory. So TIGHT and PLANTED. Driving on RAILS! Between yesterday and this morning i am so wowed..... what a feeling. Dackel's observations are dead on. Expensive? Yes. Labor intensive? Yes, but worth every single freaking penny!
Everybody, just go do it! My thoughts and review is identical to Dackels... here is the link: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=638163

Drove about 500 miles from Danville Va to Cincinnati Oh and averaged about 27mpg for 1100 miles round trip to/from VIR and a high of 30.5 from Wyethville VA to CIncy today. Other than the stupid DCT issues that keep cropping up, the car was flawless.
Ordering new tires this week since the run flats on the rear are almost shot.

dropped the 1M off at the dealership to inspect a possible misfire/fuel injector issue.
driving a 328xi sedan right now. it fucking sucks. LOL. what in the world are BMW thinking? This steering is horrible....the brakes are like mush. the car has 9000+ miles on it and feels as loose as the alley behind a strip club. |

hilarious thread.....3-series owners really are delusional about their cars. The F30 series is easily one of the most disappointing cars i've driven in the past few years. The Chevy Sonic rental car i had a few weeks ago was waaaaaay more entertaining....no joke. Shouldn't be like that. Last edited by IEDEI; 08-25-2014 at 09:27 PM.. |

I think he's running the risk of being banned entirely from all their sites. You guys at least ever meet up for the 135is, Beast Mode Stage 3 135is, and 1M tri-state e82 fest?! We're all waiting here.
And for what it's worth, looks like I'm renting a dinan stage 2 tuned 135 in a few days to put through its paces, see what it's like. It's space gray though, hope that's not like cheating on mineral grey. |

Hey, don't mess with our local icon. We're trying to get him reinstated by next year's All Star game.
I totally agree that the 328 is crap. Even the 435ix loaner I had was kind of lame. Steering my old wood frame/steering by rope go cart with the 3.5 HP Briggs and Stratton was more engaging.

Arrrg! I got another 2014 328i loaner today when I dropped off my 1er for DCT issues. Looks like I might have it a few days. Hopefully imwont have this beast over the weekend.
Dealer did have a Estoril Blue M235i on the lot. Still not sold on it but in blue, it looks OK. They did have a new M4 in for service/prep. Guy bought it in Ohio and it was delivered locally and now he's moving to CA. It was that Austin Yellow Metallic you see in a lot of BMW ads. It looks as awful in real life as in photos. Maybe worse.

I saw an estoril blue m235 over the weekend going down the road and it's a bit too bright and I think lemans looks 1,000 times better, though estoril looks good on bigger cars like the 3/4 series. You just saying the austin yellow color was awful or the M4 looks generally? I was just shocked by how HUGE it looks and feels inside and out and there's almost no fender flare on the M4 compared to the M3, so it only looked good from the front to me. But I guess you agree with some that think austin yellow looks like a baby's crap? |
