Maybe Artemis can chime in... he is our 1M Wiki!!!

On the one hand it is reported that it was indeed a paint job and thus no wrap, but on the other hand it is also reported that it was an aftermarket job (not performed by the BMW Leipzig factory where all 1M cars were manufactured):

They were very impressed. BMW ///M Division uses a paint shop in Munich for touching/repainting their Frozen Fleet, but they were impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of this paint shop.
I wish I took more pics of this car.

That blue 1M wasn't a factory painted car. It belongs to a Swiss 1Addicts member here who had it painted in San Remo Blue. It was featured on the front page a few months ago.

San Remo Blue? I thought Monte Carlo Blue. In the video though it looks like Interlagos Blue!

Lol

Very beautiful car though.

Lol

Very beautiful car though.

BMW made two (Individual)MCB, 1M's for some very special customers.

A Swiss 1M owner recently painted his 1M in San Remo Blue... bc he had a bad experience with wrapping his last car. He posted pics and we ran a story on the front page (about)two months ago.

new color (blue) on my 1M

BMW Individual is not offered at BMW Leipzig. Mere mortals like us can forget about getting other colors than those on offer.

BMW declined requests for another exterior color than those on offer (except if you had a truly exceptional relationship with BMW and significant deep pockets).

The 1M was built 6309 times. Here are the known few exceptions to the "No BMW Individual" rule (if previously stated info over here is correct):

1 x Sepang Bronze
1 x Techno Violet
2 x Atacama Yellow
2 x Monte Carlo Blue
2 x Polaris Silver
3 x Java Green (one with the Black Mamba stripes)

It was a time-consuming, expensive manufacturing process to get each of these 1M cars a different color than AW, BSM or VO.

Luc - I thought the Sepang Bronze wasn't done by BMW AG but by a BMW dealership in Asia. ?

Correct. It was done by Munich Automobiles, the world’s first and only exclusive BMW M dealership (Singapore).

Are those 11 cars part of the 6309 final build numbers?

I wonder what other colors we will see down the road that BMW "did not make" but really made.

He're some 1M OEM individual Monaco Blue (for sale) pics with source Mobile.de link. Whatever the owner did to get him/herself this unique color, he/she's asking a ~20k€ premium for it. VIN not fully displayed

Yeah... I saw that a few days ago too. SCOTT26 always said these few Individual "special order" 1M's did cost a lot - almost as much as the 1M's base price. So I am not surprised to see a 20K bump over a "normal" 1M color.

I "heard" that there were only two cars built in Polaris Silver - and one of the owners sits on BMW AG's board. He also owns a 2002 Turbo in the same color!

You want frozen VO?
Just go over it with some steel wool - shouldn't take more than a couple of hours...
