I tried installing with the G4, and the same issue occurs. While I couldn't find any information on it in the install guide, apparently the random brown CPS wires need to be plugged somewhere, so hopefully that is the only issue and I can have my car up and running (faster) in no time! |

We tried to re-install it again this afternoon but still no go. We put in the brown CPS wires into the #29/#7 slots and we double checked all of the pin outs. We also made sure that every single ECU connector had a pin going to the corresponding slot and still it didn't work. When that didn't work we removed the brown CPS wires and moved one of the unused black wires from #28/#6 on the black subconnector into the #29/#7 spot but still the car won't start.
Something has changed though because this time there's no long crank or service indicator, but when the car starts it just stalls immediately after and now we have a CEL. We also tried using the JB4 G4 board but still the same issue with stalling right after starting up. Works fine again when going back to stock...

It's hard to diagnose without a fully working unit of the same vintage that you can use to test the harness and other connectors on.
Fingers crossed you get to the bottom of the issue soon. |

FINALLY!! After the gazillionth time, we have the JB4 working! We (read: Alex) was able to determine what was wrong after we were able to successfully install and run a JB4 that Stu kindly lent us. Turned out that some of the cables were switched around, which is really odd, but of no consequence now that it is fixed and working! YAY!!
I will have to see what the difference is this Saturday at the dyno day!! |

We actually filled it up with about 30% E85 last night and stuck it on Map 5. Drives like a dream! But yeah, big thanks to Stuart@BMRAutowerkes. Without the new harness to compare it to I don't think we would have ever figured out what was wrong with it.

So it's taken me a while, but I thought I'd finally tie loose ends and put up my dyno results post-JB4 install.
The install was SO frustrating but definitely worth it. (With the previous procede it was 221.9kw.) |

Maybe I've missed it but what mods are on this car? That's an awesome figure. Well done!

There aren't too many performance mods on my car. Froop put in dual cone intakes, an oil catch can and a procede previously. And since then I changed it for a JB4. It was running an e35 mix on the day of the dyno, to give it a boost All other mods are superficial: cf spoiler, cf rear diffuser, black wrapped mirror caps, black wheels (which are grey most of the time because I don't clean the car as often as I should)... |

Haha yeah, Alex was actually recording videos on the night. You should watch my second run. I was up next to a crazy skyline. It beat me so bad. It is kind of depressing but mostly funny. Mostly. |
