Returning front seat backs to normal position

I just purchased a 135i and noticed that when you access the rear seats by pulling the front seat latch and the seat back folds forward. When I go to return the seat back to the normal position, it has to pass a resistance point, the seat back requires a descent push to click pass and return to normal position. Is this normal? I am worried I might break the seat.

Issue is consistent with both driver and passenger seats.

Mine is the same, hear a distinctive click when i push it back into position, passenger side however doesn't seem to have the same resistance or noise.
