You will love the KWs, but I also suggest you get some new rubber to complete the transformation! Not to get to off topic but you should sign up for the rally this July. Shoot me a PM if you want more info. |

Sorry I've been mia, but I'm still on the road. I'll be back in the office Monday. I'm looking to have the production midpipe on my car next Friday, and assuming no further delays or changes we'll hopefully be shipping 11th or 12th.
The question that was asked in regard to using the midpipe with a BMW Performance Exhaust....you can. You basically drop the Y pipe and the rest of the what was left of the factory midpipe that the Y pipe connected with...basically, you keep their axleback section and drop off everything else and replace with the maddad midpipe. As much as I like to sell products I don't know if its worth the dollars to bother to due this. You'll basically gain a little volume and a little power by replacing the factory cats with the small resonators, but how much is debatable. Other getting the midpipe also eliminate the big factory resonator, but you already have that eliminated which is why it's not the same value. R.

I am still debating on whether or not I want to get this. A little more volume would be nice but anything more than a little will be too much for me.
Help me decide there Rich... |

Unfortunately no . I live two lives and I got called out of town tomorrow and I won't get back till about midnight Friday so I have to reschedule, which isn't good since I'm actually out town Mon-Thurs of next week. So not the best news. I'll post some pics of the production piece though so everyone knows "its real" and no other real delays other than waiting on me to give the final green light. I spoke with my shop today and he confirmed he can have production units shipping on a days notice once I give him the call so I don't think this will have any major impact on when I felt we would be shipping, which I was estimating to be Thurs/Friday(11th or 12th.) That might just get pushed out till the following Tuesday/Wednesday.
The new Street Series axleback will be here tomorrow. I'll post pics over the weekend before I head out again. Rich.

Will the new street series sounds louder than the whisper series and by how much louder?

So just an update. I managed to get an earlier flight home and was hopefully I could still make my appointment but UPS never showed up with the pipes(midpipe and new axleback). We're tracing it to see where they are at. I just PM'd a couple of you who have your install dates coming and that are anxious. I've called our shop and they are going to put a couple pipes together to ship tomorrow so we can ensure we meet your deadlines.
My135 - I suspect the street series will be much more pronounced as a standalone axleback compared to the Whisper. It has to be with no muffler, I'll be able to answer the "how much" question in about the next week to 10 days. R.

Hey guys,
Sorry for being MIA. I was out of town Tues-Friday and had limited internet access. So the fully skinny on things... 1) We have a lost pipe with UPS, our production midpipe never showed up...but we shipped one to one of our customers who agreed he would take one early prior to my final testing. He wanted to be able to install this monday so we shipped his full system. We'll have some input from him shortly. I've got a bunch of PM's and I will get back to all you guys tonight, but I wanted to get a quick post in here to to give the general update and let you all know I am back and will be in the office all week. Anyone that wants their pipe shipped without any further delay you can PM and let me know because I'm without our production test pipe and I don't know when I will have it. Just to be clear the final pipe had some adjustments to give additional clearance in a couple of spots and we made a minor adjustment to the resonators to try and lift some of the bass at lower rpm/hi-load situations. Right now my pipe is in limbo land with UPS and I have no idea when I will receive it at the moment. The only good news I can deliver is they didn't loose the Street Series axleback...pics of that puppy below. I'll need to start a separate thread for it but for now hear is a sneak peek. Again...if you don't want to wait any longer on your midpipe if you have a pre-order you can let me know and we'll get your pipe out this week. MadDad Street Series Exhaust.(this is a one-off prototype..some seam welds will be gone in production versions.). This exhaust is 100% T304SS right down to the hangers. We tuned the sound by changing the pipe diameter and using resonated tips. Resonated tips are just that...they are like mini resonators. Hear you can see their core.

Nice, thanks for the update Rich. Do you anticipate any changes to the final production pipes? Or is it just that you want to ensure the final production piece is up to your standards before fulfilling the pre-orders?

Hey guys,
I've PM'd each of you but thought I'd put out the general notice as well. The couple of you that we planned to ship to last week(by request) did not ship. The company our fab shop uses to sub out the resonator build botched the production by not implementing the changes we requested. The good news is our shop noticed this before they were welded onto any pipes. We will have all of the pre-orders shipping this week. The full batch of correct resonators are being picked up today and assuming no other snafus we should be all set to ship to all of you. I'll be processing the pre-order CCs today and getting all the ship to info over to our fabrication shop for the direct ships. I'll hit each of you with track#s later in the week(Thurs/Friday). R.

Any update on the final production mid-pipes, do you have them in stock yet? Does it look different than the original posted photo?
