Tire fitment question #16587974
Hi I bought some 18x8 40 18x9 45 wheels with 245 front, 265 rear Michelin Pilot SS tires. Having some fitment issues especially with the rears. These are only 7mm farther out than Apex Arc-8 rears and I wouldn't think 7mm would make it impossible to fit.
SO can I fit them with a fender pull and some added camber, or do I need to go down to 255, or even 245? |

Judging by the line on your tire, you will probable need to cut and pull the fender and add massive negative camber to fit a 265 with those wheels. I'm running 265 PSSs on EC-7s and it is a close fit.

Possibly. According to Tire Rack, the 255 is a half inch narrower than the 265. That gives you 6.3mm on each side. You may be able to manage with some camber adjustments. Or you could stretch a 245. Personally, I would stretch a 245 and keep some reasonable camber.
265/35/18 - Section width 10.7" tread width 10.1" 255/35/18 - Section width 10.2", tread width 9.5" 245/35/18 - Section width 9.8", tread with 9" |
