Going in for my first (free) Oil change

Service light blinked on. Going in for service on tuesday morning. Taking care of the following.

1. Oil Change
2. Iphone Dock issue not recognizing Iphone natively and therefore cannot control it through iDrive.
3. Some kind of recall issue about rear brake lights.

I read about the seat belt recall issue but SA says that my vehicle is not involved. (2009 135)

Anything else I should ask them to look into?

Service Report.

1. Oil change was done relatively quickly.
2. They coudln't figure out the Dock issue with the iphone being natively recognized with the iDrive. This is being escalated up to BMW Field Engineers
3. Recalled parts are not in stock. They are on order and will arrive so I will have to make another appointment to go in to have this done.

@JZHANG - Scott Abrams is pretty cool. I had arranged for a loaner for the day - but he discovered that it was given out the night before - so he arranged to give me a 535

Thoughts on loaner 535: I think this is an 08 since it has the old iDrive system. DCT is nice though! I do thing that there are certain aspects of the interior that felt "cheaper or more plasticky" than the 1. Namely: 1. The paddle shifter is in plastic and wiggles while the paddles on my 1 is very solid. The trunk switch also feels a bit plasticky while on my 1 has more a rubber touch to it.

Tell them your wipers are streaking and your brakes are squeeking... maybe you'll get some new parts.

they usually change those for free anyway.

nice to hear! my rear brake light was not in stock too so i had to take my car back in another day. told you scott was cool
