Changing headlights: 2 questions
A couple of days ago BMW changed both of my headlights under warranty. I have 2 issues I would like to know your opinion:
1- The day was rainy and as soon as I arrived home with my new headlamps I realized there was condensation inside both headlamps... I took it again and they said it should dissapear in a couple of days because of the heat... I dont understand, if its sealed, how would this happen... if there is water inside heat would evaporate it but under cold weather water will appear again... 2- I think the lights are aiming shorter than before. Is this possible? dont they align automatically? Thanks |

Humidity can exist in our head lamps. They are made of plastic and even though they are sealed with vents the plastics will still absorb moisture. The condensation will go away in a few days.
What is automatic on our cars is a leveling feature but the aim must be set when new head lamps are installed. If you believe they are aimed low the dealership needs to re-aim them.
