Wheel Fitment help

Hey all -

quick question with regards to fitment. I'm look at 235/40/18 ET38 for my '09 128i. Was wondering if they would fit with my stock setup or would they end up rubbing. Thanks!

They are likely to rub on the front fenders. The rear will probably be ok unless your alignment is out, or if you are talking about a sport or Autocross tire.

Thanks for the response. It's my daily commuter so I won't be bringing it on the track/autocross. What offset should I be looking for? Would 40 be safe? Also, I'll be lowering it 1.2" so should I consider rolling my fenders as well?

You will need ET45 for the front wheels to have a good chance with 235 tires.

However, some high performance tires in 235 will still rub, and its especially noticeable if the car is dropped so much. A safer choice is a 225/40/18 on the front with wheel offset from ET40 to ET45

Thanks again, think I'll stay on the safe side and go with 225/40/18 fronts and for the rears 255/35/18s. Cheers!
