135is DCT revs up to 1k on stop

Hi all, my 135is DCT revs from ~700 idle to 1000 about a second after coming to stop then drops back to 700. Happens pretty much every time. Is this normal? Is the DCT trying to predict stop and go?

There are quite a few threads here that talk about the 135i/135is DCT issues (throttle lag, idle fluctuation, and lurching forward). Do a search for more info.

For what it's worth, despite BMW uploading new firmware, the idle surge returned. It wasn't until I got the Dinan S2 software that the idle surge largely stopped. I say largely because I think it happens every once in awhile instead of every time I come to a stop.

Interesting. Someone else also said their car was already updated and still have surge that was fixed with clearing adaptations.

I don't have anything near stalling problems and the throttle lag/lurching is pretty much in line with what I'd expect from a dual clutch. With AC on, idle roughness is more pronounced though.

I understand it's pretty common for these problems to be exaggerated with the AC on. Personally, I've never gotten any of the reported DCT issues. Only read about them here on the forum.

same here come to a stop and sometimes the idle would jump to 1k then fall again not sure if it was frome the cold air intake
