DSC light not flashing?

As i was driving into work this morning was being a little lead footed and around a corner my car stepped out. I'm not sure if i caught the slide or the DSC did. But i happened to be looking down at the time and didn't see my DSC light flash.

Has this happened to anyone before. I always drive with those aids on so it wasn't like I turned it off and forgot.

Try the same corner again with DSC turned off and see if you have a different outcome. That'd tell you if it wasn't DSC which saved you

Seriously, no I've not experienced what you speak about, though I can imagine it could be easy missing that flashing light at times.

Also, when DSC is just braking to correct the car's direction, the feeling is not as obvious as when it needs to cut power as well. Were you off-throttle through the corner or accelerating?

Definitely accelerating when it happened. I could have missed the light i suppose but i did think about the DSC as it was happening and looked down. I wasn't travelling all the fast in any case (2nd gear).

Sometimes I'll drive steadily over a railway crossing and the light will flash, while other times I'll get the tail out coming out of a corner and it won't??? I'm not sure what's happening either. The fact that it will let me get the tail out a little indicates that it's not cutting in. Most of the time it will cut in (and light flashes) if I get a little out of control however.

Perhaps the 'beep' is actually a momentary 'chirp' from the rear wheels? I get that a fair bit.

Taka .. if you are hearing a "beep beep" sound it could be cause you are being overtaken by this....
