i'm a car guy. not gonna argue that i don't see the point. different car for different folks. don't get me wrong. 1M is a great package. had to have it. had it. sold it. for 54k it's a keeper package. but bro, not worth 18k over.

i know what u're saying. what i'm saying is, enjoy ur car. u can't predict what's gonna happen in 3 years, nor how many miles u'll be driven. unless it's gonna be a garage queen? i regret selling my 08 Z4M coupe deeply. rare M cars always have their follower. so it's not important to argue what's worth it down the road. but in general, u will not see a steady value from now to the next decade. if u really care to know what i think, my prediction is in 3 years u'll see roughly 30% drop on the car. if the car deserves a spot in the M history, u can expect it to be slowly coming back up in value. enjoy the car! |

i like the look of the car, but it's the 3rd manual car in the stable & i didn't love it to the point i want to keep it. got a Z4 35is for wife instead. it's DCT so she can drive (no manual for her). it's fast enough & i think it's faster than 1M around town. |

thats way to much $ for that car, for the extra mark up go get the Mercedes C63 AMG. I have owned AMG's and numerous BMW's and owned a CLK 63 amg Blacks series. I test drove the C63 AMG before paying the extra $ for the CLK black series.
I know this is a BMW forum, and just sold my 2011 135I, but that much $ money for a 1zzzzzz, even if it is a M is crazy. Yea I know the limted production, bla bla. My Black series was 1 of 349 shipped to the US and no matter wat u here about a collector car, the (1M) is still going to loose value unless u buy it and dont put milage on it. The C63 is almost 490 HP stock and the exhaust sound from that car is crazy. No im not a MB fan, I love both German brands the same but 17-19 K over sticker is wellllll ,fagetaboutit. Im just saying, not trying to be a dream killer and after all it's your $, I just wanted to look at all your options before committing that $ to a 1M.

Thats the same song and dance people said about the z8, Z M Coupe. Limited production will equate to higher resale. Anything with 100k miles generally takes a hit vs 10k so thats a given. But I think the 1 M is worth its asking price no question about it, just maybe not to those that cant find one |
