So, after many weeks of debate on this forum - here is my reply:
Thanks - I think I am happy with my original decisions:

• White - Yes (though I keep being tempted to change to both other colours).
• iDrive - No (though I think it is great, I just don't do the kind of driving to justify 2k)
• Bluetooth - No (I have read it stops the after market iPhone station thing I sent you from being installed, so I will hold out and hope they get it to the UK soonish)
• USB - No (correctly pointed out that it is next to useless without the big iDrive screen).
