i'd define it as:
1. having offsets that center the wheel between the suspension and the fender

We're going to start talking with all of our wheel suppliers about this and try to get a fitment for the 1 series worked out. Once that is completed we are looking at about 3 months for the new mold for the wheel to be made, the first production run to be completed, and the wheels to be transported via container ship to the United States.

Probably CSL's is what it is looking like right now. Spend it on something else for your car right now from us because the 1 series fitment wheels won't be out for months. Other ideas would be JB3, exhaust, DP's...

Those fronts will not fit without a spacer. +48 is too much. Heck, my +41 needs a 5mm spacer.

im actually in the market for CSl or VMR V715's (wish they came in 18")

i probably plan on going with the 18" CSL staggered setup w/:

-18"x8.5" CSL Style
-18"x9.5" CSL Style
-225/40-18 Tires
-245/35-18 Tires

i was wondering if those tire sizes would be too conservative. (im thinking 235's in the front and 255's in the rear)
But like others, our vehicles are on lease and can not modify the fenders

just trying to address all of my issues before i make my decision

i just kind of browsed through these pages... so to summarize were looking at a wide csl type set up in specific offset for the 1er? if so my dream has come true!!! I was starting to force my self into liking lips so I could get the EMpower wheels they have coming out in 1er offset.

Just because most people here don't want to run the widest rim they can possibly cram into the wheel-well doesn't mean people are lame.

Obviously, these rims won't be for you so you are free to leave.

Now for the rest of us that want a wider rim that will have a no issue fit, we'll stay.

I was interested in the V715s also and sent a few pms to vendors and they have the same aggressive offset as the guys who are running the 19" CSL reps on the forum...

18"9.0 255 in the front. The problem with this car is the understeer. Keep a really wide tire in the back to get all the traction you can get and a big front tire to reduce understeer.

I went with the stock rim offsets and just went for slightly bigger tires.
225/40 R18 up front
255/35 R18 in the back
These sizes open up a wide range of tire choices I went with Pilot PS2 Zp for the summer and Pirelli 240 Sottoozero Rft in the winter. The tires don't rub at all.

i dont think 9's with 255 can even fit in the front
