For all of you asking about loud exhausts lately...
Thought I would post this up so people could get a small idea of what the MadDad muffler delete sounds like with a 4" catless DP. Not for the weak eared. It is beyond loud, and neither video do it justice. It's one of those set ups that I would tell you to hear from a buddies in person before trying it out for yourself.

Ya that's pretty deafening, what mids are being used? It's very loud but doesn't sound super raspy, are some real resonators at work?

I can deal with alot of volume, but too much rasp is a no-go for me. The setup above sounds awesome, perhaps a bit much, but awesome. When i do go catless dps im hoping the berk mid resonators can handle the rasp, things are already pretty loud as is with my current setup.

His exhaust is loud. How loud? Run through a tunnel with him and watch him jump on it at 3rd gear around 3000 RPMs.....
He even scared the shit out of a guy driving a Panamera.

It's just a cold start. Our cars are super loud during them. I've run a 4" DP + Full straight pipes and it sounds just fine after the start up and not as loud as a straight pipe V8.

Dack, my car is quite a bit louder than Nicks And that is putting it nicely. Cooler, Yeah, it was a cold start and as we all know it runs loud for that, but even when mine cools down, it's still crazy loud. You are right though, not near as loud as a straight pipe V8, lol. Twhill, that is your opinion bud, but trust me, the video above does not do the exhaust justice. I live around BMW tuners in Germany who have been working on 1's and 3'd all their life, and since the N54/55 came out, and everyone I have been around said this is the loudest setup for a street legal car they have ever heard. Sitting still can be judged openly, but when this car is moving, open throttle is beyond crazy. Your opinion though man.

Just be aware Dave - that the Polizei can request you to go thru USAEUR inspection before your due. I had a friend with a Mustang with a really loud exhaust... apparently the polizei heard his car go past on the AUtobahn somewhere... they sent him a letter via the Army and he had to have his exhaust system "checked". I thought that was very strange. He said he wasn't even going WOT when they spotted him in a 130 kph zone near Nurnberg A3/A9.

We need to do some "fly by's" on the autobahn. I can video you guys are you fly past me from an Autobahn bridge. I really want to see how loud you guys are now.
Heck even with just my N55 mids on my N54, my car's exhaust is loud on WOT! I remember I gave Andreas a (little) scare in a tunnel near his haus in Kufstein area!

Sounds like a plan, after the fly bys, we need to hit the long tunnel here in Stuttgart that heads towards Speed Concept, get a video there too

Yeah I know videos dont do justice to exhausts, it sounds good, I'm just sayin'...cold starts are always loud, I manage to set off 3-4 car alarms every morning in my garage but I know it will be much louder after my Berk DP and Berk mids go in for sure...to each his own.
