M5 Wheels== Played out?

I'm really feeling the M5 wheels on our E90's, but dont you guys think they are getting pretty played out and everyone has them now? IN NY/LI- I've seen 2 E90's with this setup and while it looks good, i dont think they are special anymore. Any agree?

not really..but its really up to personal preference..i definately prefer something more unique with a lip which makes it a higher-end wheel..up to you to decide what looks good and what doesnt

I think it all comes down to personal preference. Just go with what you like. Think of it like the movies, if we listened to the critics we probably would only go to 3-4 movies a year. Just my two cents

Funny... It's all about how much Coin you have these days!! Played out means affordable. If you can step up to the 4K - 5K range then you'll have a unique BMW with Sick wheels... But the M5 wheel looks much better than stock. But it is a personal choice... I myself would get the Vision II's.. Those are sick and Very expensive...

Your choice is people seeing you with M5 wheels and going nice...
Or people seeing you with 20" DPE wheels or Vision II (lowered) and going DAMMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!! So if you want the reaction of "nice" then go with M5 or any 19" wheel, But if you want the reaction of DAMNNNNNNNNN then go with 20's...

Did you have to do any mods to make the wheels fit? Do they rub at all?

No way!! They look too good.

I prefer the "nice" look. I don't want to turn my family car into a wanna-be rice burner. If I wanted that I would go buy a used honda and mod the shit out of it.

They are a classy wheel that compliments the e90 beautifully!

katsbimmer: I saw your pics and they look fine...18s look large enough, thanks to the M5 reps design. Would OEM RFT tire sizes (as fitted on 162s) fit on those wheels?

Is your car ZSP or non-ZSP

Played out? Just because you see 4-5 people on an online forum having the same wheels means nothing. I see a ton of E90's around the DC area, and I barely see any more than a few of them with 162's. If 162's are rare, then a custom wheel setup would be even more rare.

I say go get what you want, and screw what other people think...

You may want to re-read my OP. I've seen many people on the streets with the M5 wheels and less importantly, quite a few on this forum. If anything, I will get the CSL's or iforged wheels. Thanks!

So what you are saying is that out of over a million people that live in your area, you have seen 2 e90's with M-5 wheels.

WTF?

Too Funny!!!

Such the BMW owners!!! M5's being played out? What kind of comment is that? It's an I'm cooler than you comment.... Which BMW owners get alot of sh*t for!! Enough wasted on this topic already... If you love it, that's all that counts.... Played out = 3rd grade...
