That would be a safe assumption. There is likely one port of entry on the east coast and one for the west. It is time consuming and expensive to go in and out of port.

Just check on OC and now my VIN is showing up. Woohoo!!! Anyone else have a V for the 11th digit? It's not even listed in the chart in the other thread.

how much lag time was it for you to know that you were on a boat? i understand most people find out only after a few days?

Crazy question: Does any one know the route the West Coast ships take once they reach the Atlantic? I am just curious because taking the canal is most logical, but that is a lot of money per passage.

I showed up on the WW site today and the ship sailed yesterday. I'd been checking the site about 10 times a day looking for my VIN to show up.
It showed me as booked on March 31, received April 1 and loaded April 2nd which is very quick. From what I've seen from other posts there has been a 10 to 12 day period from booked to loaded.

I think all this waiting suck. I ordered my car on 1 Mar and was told that production will start 19 May. If the car is ordered make it. I have made 2 order changes just because I have so much time.

We don't have Owners Circle in Canada

It is the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site but that won't help you as you are a US West Coast delivery. Sorry
