Arrow Lines, Curves, and Textures in Alpine White

We all enjoy admiring our E90's, and I find that while I'm in the garage looking at the car, or viewing it from a distant parking space - my eye gravitates toward certain design elements that I find especially beautiful. Of course the E90 has a great profile and looks great on the road, but I also like to focus (no pun intended) on the subtle details that make this the most beautiful car I've ever owned.

Beautiful studio-like photos. Always glad to see nice camera equipment being used on an E90

Thanks Jason. I actually did drag some studio equipment into the garage, including a black backdrop. You can see the umberella reflection in a few of the shots... My neighbors probably thought there was a lightning storm going on inside the garage every time the strobes popped.

Great shots, they capture why Alpine White is such an excellent E90 color. The roundel looks best on AW IMO.

shuzmaker - looks like you lightened it and brushed out the reflection (I've since removed the reflection myself, but still like it a bit darker). Very cool. One more for the road:

Semi. I use all Nikon equipment, but since I don't shoot professionally anymore it's hard to justify pro bodies. I have professional film bodies but when it came time for a digital SLR I went with the Nikon D70. It still accepts my substantial investment in Nikkor lenses. All in all, it's a great camera - although I wish I could dial the ISO down a bit more. For lighting, I was using studio heads bounced off of umberellas (wish I had a good soft box but I don't). All the shots are deliberatly underexposed because I wanted the white paint to fall off into shadow and not pop at you like a toothpaste commercial.

Depends. I won't go into a photography lesson, but lower ISO provides a tighter image with less grain. It also requires more light. You also get better color saturation, etc.

The aesthetics are evident in the internal parts as well. With BMWs, beauty is more than skin deep.
