The problem is that all the V1's and Chinese rip offs are just going to keep going from person to person on the forums. That sucks.

I agree. This is why we recommend customers use paypal so they can protect themselves. If the previous owner claimed the pipes fit or that they are a certain brand and neither are true they should get a refund.

The V2's have an investment cast stainless steel flange at the v-band section which offers a smooth transition from turbo to pipe. It also costs thousands of dollars per mold and there are two of them.
Anyone can copy a label but the copy cats don't tend to invest in that kind of thing |

Luckily the VRSF downpipes are priced sanely (unlike the competition IMHO) so there aren't too many reasons to avoid buying new. I love buying used parts, but half of what you get with VRSF is customer support from what I've seen, so I'll be ordering new for my DPs when I order soon.

So you guys would recommend these? I just installed a set of another cheaper brand and they don't fit and if I don't find a set soon I'll have to pay an extra $300 in labor costs. Does anyone know if VRSF has a dealer in CA?

I would suggest checking out N54tuning.com. great price there as well. Mike is great to deal with and might be able to get them out to you quick.

The N54tuning pipes are the ones that aren't fitting, the shop tried for 3-4 hours and they regularly work on N54's.
I'm never dealing with them again, should have just gone with the proven option but I figured I'd try out something new. I have to pay another $200 to fit the replacement pipes tomorrow. |

Please send install photos and email me. We guarantee 100% fitment so I would like to 1) Make this right for you 2) Figure out what the issue is as we have many hundreds of these pipes out in the wild as these have been on sale since 2013, so a fitment issue is pretty rare and can usually be easily rectified with some rotation of the pipes. This issue transpired at about 11 AM today. I specifically didn't mention they were N54tuning pipes until MuNkY6913 recommended I go with them. I was more worried about not losing the $300 I spent on labor than waiting for you to "make it right". Unless you're coming down to Cali and installing these downpipes for free or reimbursing the $300 wasted on labor there's no making this right. If you guarantee 100% fitment you should test these before sending them out, you've wasted a lot of people's time and money.
As I previously mentioned this shop has a lot of experience installing down pipes on n54's. The VRSF arrive tomorrow morning, we'll see if it's install error or if it's just shoddy quality. Either way I'll be writing an extensive review of my experience once this is all settled. I'll contact you directly about a refund when I have time tomorrow since I've already wasted most of my day on this problem. |
