Reinforced rubber exhaust mounts

Hi everyone, I recently bought a VO 1M and I was wondering if there are any reinforced rubber exhaust mounts in order to replace the (very soft) standard ones.

Thanks

Why?

They're designed to flex and you'll be transmitting nvh (noise, vibration, harshness) if you go stiffer.

cobb makes urethane ones. Searching on ebay for polyurethane exhaust hangers gave some results as well.

Thanks for the tips, do you think the 135 rubber mounts are harder than the 1M's?

OP, the problem I have is one side hangs lower then the otter. From what I understand, the earlier production 1Ms had different design exhaust hangers. The replacement part is suppose to be stronger.

That's correct, I have the Akra evolution system and the left side hangs lower than the right, because the left side it's heavier than the left.
I went to an exhaust workshop specialist and he told me that the specific rubber mounts are very soft.

I ran into this issue after trying to fit the Eisenmann cat back on my car a couple years ago. The early hangers were more of a square overall shape and very soft. The newer style OEM hangers for the 1M are more oblong and are reinforced (see second photo on the car).

In the upper picture, those are the hanger from a 335i. I tried those to get rid of a squeeking noise i have with my eisenmann slip-on exhaust. The exhaust tips were touching the diffusor with the 335i rubbers. So i bought the official 1M hanger again, which have a steel core with a rubber skin. The new ones are looking better than the ones preinstalled from the factory.

My 1M came with the oblong shaped exhaust hangers.

My exhaust installer had to zip-tie my hanger on one side to make the exhaust look more level.

Where can I order the revised ones?

Just wondering when did BMW start using the newer style hanger?
