How to install M wheel cover
The dealer installed an M wheel on my 128i a while ago. The M cover just arrived.
I undid the t10 screws but the cover is still held down by I believe the center cover. What is the trick to get the old cover off? |

if your referring to the part i think you are which is the one where the buttons are to change song/vol you will have to remove the air bag. there is 2 tiny holes on the back of the wheel very hard to find first time u insert a thin flat screw driver and theres a little clip that has to be released

Well, I decided not to play with the airbag and went to the dealer today. I had a pleasant surprise. They installed the cover at no charge while I waited. Thank you Seattle BMW.

Good thing because our friend above forgot to mention that you need to disconnect the battery before removing the airbag.... If you value your life
Good thing your dealer is stellar!
