Isofix query
Got the 470 Isofix option on order for my future VO 1M. However, just read in a 1M test in the latest issue of the Belgian car review Autogids - Le Moniteur Automobile that, apparently, it's passenger front seat only + the rear seats do not feature Isofix childseat attachment points.
If this happens to be the case, then the 1M is the only 1 Series car not featuring Isofix childseat attachment in the rear. Dan Parker's AW 1M sports a child seat on the rear seats, but no info re Isofix: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=528522 Could someone please shed some light, as I intend to recycle the Jane childseat currently sporting my M3, preferably by using the Isofix connectors - if technically possible - on my future 1M. |

Maybe what that magazine means if the air-bag off switch. The bellow photo is on a German spec 135i with ISOFIX option.
I would think the rear seats are the same as a 135i. Btw... the rear seats also are split 60/40 and fold down - just like a 135i rear seats. At first it was reported that the 1M had fized rear seats. Perhaps this is the same sort of blunder. Dackel |

Okay, got it sorted out via the German specs list:
http://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...9&d=1294251458 "Kindersitzbefestigung ISOFIX im Fond" as a standard feature, i.e. Isofix childseat attachment in the rear. Thanks anyway. |

Lots of newer/nicer cars in the US (e.g. my wife's Audi) have a weight sensor in the passenger seat to arm or not the airbag on that side. Don't know about the 1M (or other BMWs) but I wouldn't be surprised if they had the same thing.
Since you have back seats you should probably put the baby seat in the back rather than in the front anyways because the front seats never have the isofix attachements anyways... |

Further to a request of forum fellow eeghie, here are a couple of pictures of the Isofix attachment points of the front passenger seat.
