Hi all, just got my 2012 135i the other week, it's freakin brand new with only 19,000 on it! It was a toy for the previous owner, well now it's my toy. I've been looking for mods that i can do. Well since joining this forum this post is definitely the most informative and the links still work after two yrs! Thanks, I just ordered!

Honestly for the price, and knowing the challenge of remote paint matching, I'm okay with the results. But I wanted to flag this, just so people have the right expectations - usually it's spot on (as many have reported), but sometimes it's not a perfect color match (mine).

I think if I was doing this again I'd get a contrasting color like gloss black.

Attached are a few picks of the install. A few things to note:

• I decided to run the 3M tape out to almost the very ends, about 5 mm short (5th picture). This results in a small raised height (6th picture). But in practice it's not noticeable and I wanted adhesion all the way out
• The last two photos were taken before the glue from the original spoiler was removed, so you can see the line of the new spoiler in comparison to the old one.

I might give one a try for my e88, same DSB. I understand there are some differences in the spoiler from e82 to e88. But trying to find an aftermarket one is a pita. And I don't really want to spend $$ on bmw spoiler.

The E88 has a different trunk, it won't fit.

I bought this spoiler from one of the same sellers on eBay (emotors2000) for $76 (including shipping) for a Black Sapphire Metallic E82. Plastic and paint Quality, along with fitment easily exceeded my expectations. I would have paid $150-$200 for this part if it was not available anywhere else.

I had one on my previous 135 e88 convertible.

Was the 88$ one from ebay.

Fit was nice. Plenty flexible to work.

I did jet black as I was a bit concerned about paint match on the space grey.

Was a 2008, but i think they are the same through all years.

Bought a spoiler from emotors2000, the painted version.

Paint match 9.5/10
Paint finish 7/10 - buffing trails needed to be machine polished
Fitment 9/10
Packaging & delivery 10/10 - comes with a 3M tape which I used and seems to be holding up well so far

Finally pulled the trigger after a year of going back and forth. Fingers crossed I'll like the look!

Was delivered in 48 hours, their ebay account is setup overseas likely to avoid taxes. The return address is in the LA area.

The fit seems to be pretty good, mine did have 2 small paint imperfections and the paint had obvious swirl marks. Color match is damn good with Black Sapphire Metallic. I've had random bits painted over the years by different body shops and it's on par with what you would get if you dropped off an unpainted piece for paint.

Overall, satisfied with the piece, price notwithstanding. I've always been an OEM whore but for a fraction of the cost of the original it'll do just fine.

Going from a smooth deck lid to spoiler will take some getting used to! The indent towards the middle of the spoiler mirrors the bumper diffuser which makes it tie in nicely.

We're neighbors, I'm right next door in Seven Hills. Really surprised I haven't seen you around before, e82's are rarer than hen's teeth in Vegas, especially over in our area.
