I'd like to run the below set up

Advan Racing RZs
F: 18x8.0+45 225/40
R: 18x9.0+50 255/35

with Michelin Pilotsport PS2s RFTs (or preferably non-RFTs) on the BMW performance suspension, with M3 bits - possibly front and rear sway bars and control arms and rear sub-frame bushings.

Searched for that throughout this thread and couldn't find. Don't know enough to gauge what else approximates so question...does anyone know if this set up would cause any rubbing issues? If yes, any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I wouldnt mind that setup or the Advans either, but I dont much like the idea of spending $2500+ just on a set of 18" wheels..

Charles,

I am running the same setup except using 245 at the back and ET45 at the back.

will 245 doing fine with ET45 without any rubbering?

what if I changed to 255, will it be fine?

Is 255 a better fitment to the wheel than 245 since 245 kind of stretch?

BTW, I am with the stock suspension.

Thanks

245's will be fine with a +45. Once you upgrade to a 255, you may need to roll your fenders slightly.

Stock suspension. Perfect fit, no rubbing. Ride is pretty smooth. Better than stock RFT's on 18's.

Charles was a great help on the tire sizing.

Charles, what if those fenders weren't rolled previously? And I guess those wheels would also clear the V2's?

18" v710 8.5 et45 and 9.5 et50
225/40/18 and 255/35/18 Hankook V12 (not sure if I like them yet)
KW V2

it fits but just barely 2mm on the front between the tire and the coilover. definitely could not fit 235 with this configuration.
will report back after alignment Monday.

No fender modifications. no rubbing.

seriously sexy wheels! and my bent-OEM-wheel-highway shimmy is GONE! finally.

I ordered a custom set of wheels. I wanted to fit a 8.5 in the front with a +45 but the way the back pad and spacing is made, the highest I can go with 8.5 is a +38.

You guys may know my previous wheel set up that is now on Jzhang's car.
Previous setup:
18x8.5 +38
18x10 +38

New setup:
18x8.5 +38
18x10 +50

my last setup was a "hella flush" type fitment but I decided to go a different route with my car. my new set up is a bit more "hella functional". I'm going to attempt to fit a 285 tire in the rear and a 235 in the front without rubbing. Camber should definitely fix that. I'm getting a new suspension set up as well. New camber plates and rear control arms.

New wheels land in mid April and I will post pics of fitment and any "issues" I have. FYI, my rear fenders are rolled.

Cheers.

Tires: Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec 255/40 17
Suspension: OEM springs and shock/struts with Vorshlag camber plates.

Front fits nicely. Will definitely rub without camber plates. I am running -2.5*
Rear was rubbing slightly. I am running -2* camber. Rubbing would be eliminated with slightly more camber. I did a very minor roll in the rear to get rid of it completely
