Just to clarify what BMW86 and DangerLucas were talking about:

1x1 and 2x2 weave have nothing to do with the gloss of the piece. They are simply the way that the carbon fibers are weaved together. No differences other than just aesthetic reasons. All OEM BMW Performance pieces are 2x2 weave, and the OEM Roof (in CF) on the E92 M3 is 1x1 (just for reference).

We've posted pictures of both weaves at www.shopicarbon.com. Just click on "Click for More Pics" on any one of our CF pieces and you will be able to see a close up there.

Regarding Dry vs Regular finish, Dry Carbon Finish just applies a specially formulated matte (non-shiny) clear coat, and Regular finish uses a shiny clear coat. No differences in construction or anything else.

Hope this clears everything up! Crazy Monday today.... wow! Sorry for the delay in replying today.

They are dry CF pieces, but they do have a gloss finish.

You are correct, the same mirror caps would fit on your 128i!

Our regular finish is the closest to BMW Performance stuff. It's actually basically exactly the same finish. Our Dry Carbon finish is the one that has no shine, it looks more "Motorsports" and aggressive - some people prefer it!

The most commonly used is definitely our regular finish however
