Sunroofs???
Any of you not have a sunroof on your E90???
If so do you regret not getting one? If no regrets what's your reason for not having one? I'm in the process of ordering my car , and all my past vehicles have never had sunroofs. I feel that if i had one , I probably wouldnt use it . . I just feel that 4 windows down in the summer are good enough for me. Anyhow just wanted to hear what you guys have to say. thanks in advance, Nick |

Don't have one. Had one in my old car (A4), ended up using it because I had it not because i really enjoyed it. I am rather top hair challenged you see and while driving with sunroof open, I would burn my scalp (it is true!).
What I did enjoy was the fact that the cabin was brighter at night because of the light coming through the tinted sun roof. I do not miss not having one, when I feel like fresh air I just open my window :rocks: |

if you've never had one then you probably won't miss it. but i have one and i wouldn't get a car without a moonroof. plus the sunroof on an e90 is freak'n nice and big!

I always have sunroof in my cars. I don't think it is must have feature, but it is nice to tilt or open it ones in a while. I also hate wind in my ears while blasting on a highway, with sunroof you can get "fresh" air in much more convenient way.
If you haven't had it yet, try to take it for a change, but don’t break your bank for it either….

Yeah that is the only major advantage with my moms e46, she gets some nice lighting in the car from above with having a sunroof.
I'm still debating , but it's an extra 1500$ It's nice to see another MTL member! I'm new to the board ,I've been reading on here for the last few weeks, and decided to join so I could learn a bit more about the E90 before I put my order in. thanks for the reply, nick p.s Did you end up testing the 325i with the SP on our roads?? How did it feel? |

I don't regret not getting it.
the only time my previous roofs is used is on a hot summer day when i think having the sun roof opens helps vent the hot air out faster....

The Sunroof on the E90 is fantastic. Those black Plastic "teeth" that pop up are really great for deflecting the air while the roof is down. It's very quiet. I can have my music on, and carry on a conversation with it down *on the freeway* and I can hear everything fine.
The #1 thing I like about the sunroof, is the way that when the shade is pulled back and it's just the glass over my head. The sunlight fills the car with a very nice atmosphere/ambience and is quite beautiful. I really enjoy it, and think it's worth it if you live in a warm enough climate. And even if its cold, sunlight is very nice.

I have the sport package on mine. I find it surprisingly smooth for our roads. Don't get me wrong, it it tight and lowered, so I'll have to be carefull over bad potholes in Jan/Feb, because there is less wheel travel. But I find it comfortable in evryday driving. And it improves both the handling in curves and acceleration (less squat) plus the look of the car. As well, I LOOVE the sports seats it comes with and the thicker steering wheel. Yes, I find the price for the sunroof way too high. |

There's an official Montreal thread here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6378 If you're in the market you should consider coming to the meet that's being organized to get a look at what should be a pretty good variety of E90s. As far as the sunroof. It is a very popular option, but I personally don't like them. The fact that it's a $1500 option made the decision pretty easy, although they had a hard time finding one without a sunroof since most of the cars the dealers order have them. |

You are going to olove the 325. Lots of power and torque, especially compared to my old e46 323 i traded for my e90. Enjoy and welcome aboard. There are a few Aussies here so you are in good company.

I'm not sure what is being said in this thread. A moonroof/sunroof is standard equipment on the E90.....at least in the United States.

'Car without sunroof' is an option in HK as hard to look for a luxury car without

E91 has Panoramic roof, I am having it on my car.
I have it on my X5 & it is way way better than the old sunroof. I don't think it's available on a E90. Here's a pic of the Pana roof on my X5. Scroll down to 6th post for pics. Pana Roof |

The big advantage of not having a sunroof is picking up an 1 1/2" to 2" of headroom.

All my other cars I made sure they had 1 but now I am not a big fan and i ordered my bmw without 1. Theres enough air/temperature aids in the car to suit my needs plus it makes too much noise when cruising over 100mph. The weather is also not much to talk about here.
