very exciting...i took the plunge last week with the agency power axelback. i missed the black tips for about half a second.. once the car was on the ground and we fired it up i forgot about the black tips entirely

thought of this... but then I wouldn't be able to sell the stock exhaust. is there even a market for stock exhausts though?

also, would I be able to do this after I install the performance exhaust?

I would powdercoat them, and that would need to be done before it is installed.

I had a maddad exhaust on my car with SS tips and actually thought it looked great after thinking I would hate it. I now have the CP-E with "black" tips but the coating is so thin it almost looks silver anyway.

you can't see the chrome tips from inside the car.....

I don't even notice mine really when walking up to the car..... I'm so used to chrome tipped exhausts on every other car in the world, that i don't even notice it on mine, But that might be because i'm too busy looking at the carbon difuser.....

Still thinking about this for the 128. I wish I could hear the exhaust in person though to see what it sounds like in and outside the car. Videos just aren't quite the same as being there in person.

I'm trying to put together a video but I was an idiot and recorded myself driving around with my iPhone 4 right side up, now my video is sideways and I can't figure out how to rotate it without paying for an iMovie plugin or Quicktime Pro (I'm a Mac user)... anyone give me some help?

I realized how stupid I was once I had the PE and recorded them right for the PE clips though...

i just took a bunch of videos of me driving around with the stock exhaust and with the performance exhaust, in both cases with windows open and windows closed. also took videos of the car revving in my garage with both exhausts. lastly i also took a video of me cruising at around 60mph in 6th gear with the PE to show the noise/drone

if you're all ok with this I'll just put all of these crappy, shaky iphone videos into a very raw unedited file and upload them for sound purposes

. you can ignore the image i guess.. that's what you get from trying to do this while driving a manual..

but just a side note here... THE CHROME PE TIPS LOOK SO MUCH BETTER! they stick out more and are very aggressive. now i think the black one just blends too much (although yes i still think its pretty cool). try it
