Have you put down a deposit for the 2008 M3 Sedan yet?

I've heard some people have already done it even though it's not expected for 12 to 20 months. I plan on leasing one myself right when they come out (assuming delivery would be at least 16 months away) so I was wondering if any of you that are planning to get one have already put a deposit down.

I don't plan on purchasing the first year model of the M3 Sedan, but am definitely going to get the next year model, which is '08, I believe.

I thought the first year model of the M3 Sedan is going to be 2008 and the new M3 coupe is 2007?

Nope, have no plans of purchasing one. If anything, I will trade for a 335i in 2-3 years.

I'm number one on the list at my dealer. I put a check down as soon as it was announced. I'll have to see if I'll actually follow through given that my 330 is to be delivered to me next week but if I keep buying those lotto tix....

I can always sell my priority.

If the M3 coupe goes into production in Sept 07, it will be an 08. Sedan has not been confimed yet, but it would be wise to place an order on one just in case. At my store, if BMW gives us a coupe a month, our first year is already sold. Our first two M5 sedans were sold in 2003!

Is your current car a lease?
Seems like a waste to buy a car and sell it two years later.

Seems like people (Americans in particular) are so impatient nowadays.

I haven't placed a deposit on one and probably won't until I see it in person. However I am fairly sure I will like it and lease one. I already found someone to take over my 330i lease so I will be BMWless until the new ///M.
