home made Ipod adapter
this is something that i am working on. Probably going to spray paint the cord black and cut a hole on the platform to allow the wire to leave through 1 hole and adjust the platform so it covers the whole cup holder. What do you people think???

Finished product will look better I'm sure... not sure its in the best location though and wonder if you need this kind of access with the USB integration?

Looks cheap because it's homemade, but I like the concept. Can you tell us what materials you used, how you did it, etc? This is, after all, the DIY forum. I usually just plug my ipod/blackberry directly into the aux port, but it'd be cool if I could retrofit some kind of holster for it instead of just throwing it in the cupholder.

the white stand came from when i bought my ipod nano. The black part came from the AOL cd cases you get. I just plug in the aux jack on my ipod and the car. At first i wanted to install it in the ash tray , however, my jack is too big to fit in the ashtray. So i modified it to the back cup holder, which you cant even use because of the arm rest. This is home made so quality might not be up to par in comparison to people paying money to get it done and plus you can always remove it if you dont like it. No damage done to car.
