Just stumbled onto two different exhaust systems for the 1M on the remus webpage. Anyone seen/heard it or know anything about this??? Any brave souls order it yet???

Sport exhaust

I was hoping Remus would come out with a system, I have a Remus system on my Cayman and it's a really great piece. I should have waited as I just installed a Magnaflow system...

Sorry to hear the Magnaflow didn't work out as well as you had hoped but it shouldn't be too difficult to sell it if you don't put too many more miles on it; I am sure someone around would appreciate getting rid of the drone and reducing the exhaust note overall...

That being said, I have not had any luck getting information on the Remus system in the USA. When I talked to Remus USA yesterday they had no clue about the system for the 1M; however I was told to call back when the more experienced members of the staff return from SEMA next week, we'll see what happens then...

UPDATE: I made a mistake and was in contact with a reseller and not Remus USA themselves. Remus USA has answered all my questions and provided me with all the correct information which I will post soon.

I agree, Magnaflow is not a bad system at all, just not what I wanted.

I found this: http://www.campionishop.com/product/...fid=p571c11874

and http://www.campionishop.com/product/...fid=p571c11873

Akra always looks so good! Is that evolution price correct? $799?

I think so, it is a no cat system, requiring ECU modifications according to the site.

Talked to Remus again and they are looking into it and will give me final details/pricing next week. Definitely would have to be ordered from Austria and would arrive sometime in December. Apparently there are two different systems a stainless steel sports version (approx. $1,500.00) and a titanium race version (approx. $3,800) either can be ordered as an axle back or with race muffler delete mid-section which is extra (steel $ 750.00; titanium $2,500.00).

UPDATE: I made a mistake and was in contact with a reseller and not Remus USA themselves. Remus USA has answered all my questions and provided me with all the correct information which I will post soon.

At the risk of sounding like a sales pitch, I have had very good experience with Remus exhausts in the past on my BMW's and I love the carbon fiber system on my Ducati. It's beginning to look promising @ $1,500 for the sports version axle back.

Doubt it; MSRP is $3;465 for the titanium slip-on and $5,795.00 for titanium full race. Wireless valve is another $799.00. Carbon fiber tips are extra as well.

But if that price is right for the stainless steel system I am in!!!

that is just the optional stainless steel downpipe (I think), see the note. The picture is misleading...

Akra does make SS systems, but still doubtful they would be $799. I would pay as much as $1,800 for a SS axle back, since that is what they charge for other vehicles. What I do like is what they say about drone on their website:

"Utilizing a single muffler arrangement, the Slip-On is designed to be modular. In its basic mode, all exhaust gases flow through the main body of the muffler, giving you a deeper rumble of an exhaust note compared to stock without any drone."

This is good info, I have a Remus non-cat system on my CaymanS, it's a really nice system and I would gladly buy one for the 1M based on past experience...

I exchanged messages with Duiffy at Max MOTO about a group buy and his response was

"As to your “group buy” question; we do 80% of our business wholesale, so a “group buy” we would ask one of our retailers that sponsors “1 Addicts” forum to facilitate. If we do it ourselves, my retailers feel they’re being unfairly cut out of this business........We have not as of yet asked any of them to get going on this, but next Monday, I will check with them about doing it. Many of their key people are at the S.E.M.A. show in Las Vegas now."

Update:

Jason at Mod Bargains is working on a group buy for anyone interested in the Remus system, I don't have particulars yet but I'd like to gauge interest in this system. Jason would need 5 buyers minimum for the GB to work. If you are interested please PM me and I'll add your name to the list.
