Hey Everyone -

I bought a new set of OEM rear tires last year around July and drove 6,000-7,000 miles on them before I switched to my winter tires. I went to put the summer set back last week and I noticed extreme wear on the rear tires. Out of the 5 tread lines, 4 of them are perfect, except for the inside thread line which is pretty close to the wear bar.

An alignment wasn't done, the car was only a year old. I keep the car away from all potholes and such. The dealership "says" that they've seen this before with cars with new tires (very uneven tread pattern with very low mileage) that hasn't gotten an alignment done. I'm not sure if I believe that though.

Has anyone else seen this behavior on their rear tires?

Are the rear tires mounted to OEM or aftermarket wheels? If aftermarket, what is the offset? Any suspension mods? Also, 128i or 135i?

So the tires are worn on the inner edge? If so, I would say it's normal to a certain degree. BMWs are known for that....

yeah...when i replaced my run craps i noticed they were pretty much bald on the inner edge...
