So I'm starting this thread about two years late.... Over the past two years I've done a bunch of stuff to this car I love it more and more every day. So let's begin!

As of July 2015 this is what she looks like:

The Beginning

It was October 2013, and after months of searching (and losing out on three previous 135i's) I stumbled upon a 2010 135i 6MT in Jet Black with 8,800mi.. That's right, the car was 3 years old and only had 8,800mi on it. Being that I only wanted an N54 car, this was a unicorn to me... I jumped on it and haven't looked back.

On the way home from the dealer:

First Modifications


First mod was the JB4 G5 ISO and BMW dual cone intakes (and some E85):




Then some traction issues and the horrible RFTs forced my hand:






Then, the fact that non-RFTs and stock RSFBs are mortal enemies led to:







Now I needed some better steering feel (yes I use a wheel barrel brush ):

Apparently, the previous owner used sandpaper to wash this car:

All that E85 now lets make the engine happy(not really a power mod):


Now it's time to get serious, got me some downpipes:

Car looks Awesome, just curious, as I just purchased a black 135i also. Does your paint have terrible orange peel. Mine is nasty, definitely doesn't look like yours.

Thanks for looking, appreciate it! Yeah my car actually does have orange peel it's just you can't see it in the pics. It's not terrible but it's definitely noticeable.

Congrats on the pick up, you're gonna love it. Black is the best and worst color at the same time. It's a bitch to keep nice, but a flawless black finish is hard to top. Do you have Jet Black or Black Sapphire?

I also have a BSM 135i, I think you'll find they all have it from factory. Mine isn't horrible either, but noticeable if I look at the panel from only centimeters away

I have the BSM, I am almost tempted to pay to have it all wet sanded the orange peel bothers me more than it should
