Controlling the Servicemenü

I know you can access the Servicemenü easily enough but I have not been able to go past 01.08 in the test list. I can advance the YY with the TK (Tageskilometerrückstellknopf or trip odometer button) but all of the instructions I´ve seen have said to push the TK for 2 seconds to advance XX. I haven´t gotten this to work.

FYI, the instructions (translated from German) are either
1.) Radio readiness or motor on
2.) TK for 10 seconds push
3.) the Servicemenü 01.00 appears

OR

1.) press TK
2.) simultaneously insert key into dash slot
3.) the Servicemenü 01.00 appears

Ja, it is a good explanation. Thanks. But I couldn´t get even to 2.0 (KI TEST) and that according to the instr. wouldn´t require unlocking. But I will try anyway. Danke!
