Yes, those prices are what they sold for on auction. So after being rode so hard, you can see how much of a markup they're still asking. Im not sure if they'll be regarded as CPO cars as i don't see it written anywhere on any of the ads. I hope potential buyers do their homework on these.

Two of these 1M's (Black and VO) went off track during my PCD (I was in the AW with M-Stripes). Not much, but just people hopping over the curb and running on dirt before getting back on asphalt.
They take really good care of the cars but I could sense that my car had been worked pretty hard. The clutch engagement was slightly off and the gear-shift was quite a bit notchier than my car's.

Dealers are soooooooo full of $hit. I have been thinking about purchasing a GTR and the numbers they have given on trade are laughable. I have pointed out there are only a handful of 1M's on sale, mostly in the 60's, but these Nissan dealers are pathetic. Two gave me a trade bid of $38k, one gave $50k. I don't see how the numbers could be that low given all the facts. Having said that, maybe a private buyer will come along? Doubtful.

Another popped up, but I'm unable to determine if it's one of the Driving Academy cars.

Thought about buying one of these months back.....Glad i did not at those prices...As good as the 1M is, i would rather have a new M2 in a couple years. I will wait...If the prices ever become realistic on the 1M i would consider it, but at list or better, a year old, WITH HARD MILES on these....good luck to anyone buying them...I will continue to enjoy my 135i..it's almost paid off!

That's what I thought as I didn't see it anywhere on the listings (they always advertise CPO as a selling point)
Also I think for those of us that are bmwcca members, these cars don't qualify for the bmw cca membership reward program |

You may be able to CPO the car if the buyer pay's for it on top of whatever price is negotiated for the car with the CPO included....Not sure though on cars from the test track....I bought a used 135i from a BMW Corporate Auction with 9200 miles on the car with a substantial discount and got such a great price on the car i put up an additional 2 grand to CPO the car...to me it's worth it to others probably not but the extra 2 years is big IMO......And on a track driven 1M, paying top dollar for the car IMO it's worth having an extended warranty especially if you are keeping the car for a bit.......if i owned a 1M.....it would be forever...

Ah, and that was already said above.
Yup, the telltale sign is when you see a BMW dealership listing one of these, and not opting for the attractive "CPO" image as a selling point... since they can't. I really wish they'd *not* sell these. Unfortunately, Mercedes/AMG does the same thing. But, I believe they actually CPO their ADA cars. |

It would show some class if they went through these cars real well before they hit the market- fluids all new, rotors/pads, clutch if cooked and automatic cpo.
Either that or sell them really cheap.

They can't CPO them unfortunately, but I do agree with what you said. Should be a bargain because they've been "well-used", oh well

They could've just auctioned them off online or something. Or held a lottery/sweepstakes, or something. *shrug* Too bad US dealer / franchise laws are so screwed up that it would probably have been impossible. |

Another popped up, but doesn't match the original list posted on page 2: http://www.stevenscreekbmw.com/used/...a25e46de9f.htm
No free Carfax report yet, so I can't confirm its history/origins. Also, not CPO, so that's why I'm suspicious. This car is local to me, so if it's still around this weekend, I might check it out and report back. At least it's not priced in the mid-60's. :P |

The guy who sold this to the dealership actually listed this on Autotrader previously. He said the car was in a minor accident and he was the second owner. He didn't give any details about the accident, nor was willing to provide a carfax. He did send me recent pictures of the car and the front right bumper and rear bumper had some scratches on it. A couple of the wheels had bad curb rash also. Had I been local, I would've tried to pursue, but given all the red flags, I decided not to.
So in short, the car wasn't one of the PCD cars, but it has been in an accident. Quote:
