Sun Glasses Holder
I just installed the European BMW Sunglasses Holder that replaces the drivers door handle in the roof. In my opinion, the handle was worthless and the sunglasses holder is a perfect replacement. This has solved a problem I have had with the car from day one, finding some place convenient to store my sun glasses. I can only wonder why this accessory is available in Europe but not here.

I'm glad you found a solution that works well for you. I just put my sunglasses in a hard case in the door. There is a shallow compartment in the middle that seems just right for the hard case. Paper maps go in front of that and a small notebook to record gas goes behind the sunglasses.

Any pics of the holder? It would be nice to free up space in my console.

Stopped by the dealer to give them the information so that they could order a few of these. I couldn't believe it, but they can not order them because of US safety regulations. That is so stupid. I can't use the handle for anything so the case works great.

I installed this sunglass holder froma Vauxhall. If you can settle for a non BMW part its much cheaper. Spacing for the screws isn't exact, but works fine if you open it up with a larger drill bit. Here's a link to an e90 post where i got the idea.
