2011 128i Convertible Lease Deal
My Friend is looking at a 2011 128i Convertible lease with the following options:
Auto Premium Package Value Package Base MSRP 40,600 15k miles/year 5k down (he isn't sure if that includes first month's payment) $450/month (including tax) He says they are taking $1,900 off the base MSRP (I assume that is typical). I'd appreciate any feedback as I am totally unfamiliar with the 1 series pricing. (and believe me I will still be trying to talk him into a 135 coupe!) Thanks in advance! |

Doesn't seem like such a good deal. I signed a lease yesterday for a 39,700 msrp at 12000 per year for three years. My numbers were 1500 down (total including first month) and 480 a month. My monthly is a little higher but my downpayment is way lower. My rule of thumb is to put as little as possible down on a lease. If the car is totaled, you'll lose whatever you put down. My deal was in nj. Every dealer was pretty close to my numbers

i don't think its a bad deal. so much of it depends on where you are from. I don't know what the taxes are like in Philly, but I can certainly tell you that he is getting a better deal than the one I am getting in California (which I blame the 9.75% sales tax for).
So really, I wouldn't try and directly compare prices. The price looks good to me, and if I got that, I'd take it. It just comes down to personal comfort with the finances. |
