Walnut Blasting Pricing $489?

I noticed that a local southern California dealership is charging $489 for walnut blasting. How is this pricing? I would only have this done at a dealership in order to protect my extended warranty. Anybody done this yet in so. Cal?

Check 3 series forum, They have huge discussion list about Walnut Blasting service and price. I believe you can find a good price.

I'm not sure about the warranty though.

$489 seems to be a fair price for a dealer, here @ McKenna we charge $495 + tax, this however doesn't include the cost of the I/M gasket.

Is it recommended to replace that gasket when doing the blasting? Optional or mandatory?

That would be a mandatory replacement. You don't want a set of $22 gaskets to ruin the job.
