Really, there are two differences between no-USB vs. USB for stored music playback: 1.) you get track info on the car's screen 2.) you control your stored music via steering wheel controls Both of those are huge to me, as I don't want to be fumbling with an ipod while I'm driving. I suppose that's why I got the bluetooth option too. It's definitely a safety issue for me. |

I like the heated seats. Very nice to have in the winter. Makes you nice and warm when car is parked outside in the cold.

I was talking about resale value. Not fumbling with an ipod while driving is huge if you use it, which is why i got it. |

Also handy after skiing when your core temp is low and you just want to roast yourself for a few minutes to get back to normal. What I really want is cooled seats, a la cadillac. |

Sport gets you awesome adjustable seats plus some zoomy 'M'-trim for the steering wheel, shifter, maybe even the door sills. We aren't certain about the sills as yet, those will be confirmed once US deliveries begin.

I made a huge mistake by Not getting the sports package. Now, because of the lack of side bolsters on my seats, my car's 0-60 and handling in the turns will greatly suffer.
Kidding aside, i sat in a regular 335i at the BMW dealerships, seats were great, the REGULAR steering wheel in the 135i is actually the sports steering wheel in the 335i, so its thick enough to begin with (M steering wheels are way too thick for a small car like this, all the reviewers says it diminishes the steering feel). Shadowline trim looks like junky black plastic, and the perforated leather is more slippery than regular leather in every car i've ever tried. Sports Pack = :bs: Glad i didn't get it. Extra 1k will go towards Dinan chip. Now thats a "Sports" upgrade. |

keyless entry????
I got everything except: active steering, HD / satellite radio, and keyless entry. I am starting to regret not getting the keyless entry after reading some of the comments.

Basically, the only valid reasoning for not getting the sports package is if you have a really fat ass or if you like seats that look like they belong in a Buick. |

Thanks everyone. I'm thinking that the sport package, blue tooth, and ipod adaptor are probably worth the money. Still considering the heated seats. I guess that there is really no way around the added costs for these options that are standard on most modern cars. Oh well, still a good value in my opinion.

With IPOD adapters, does the audio play through the ipods built in sound codecs/amplifier or does it run through the cars amp? I am always skeptical about sound quality using an ipod to play their media files compared to legit CD's through the headunit..

the only "must have" is ZSP...the rest is frivolous...but then again...I, like many bmw drivers, enjoy frivolous commodities. =)

Puting in an order for a 135i tomorrow; option help
So tomorrow I'll be placing an order tomorrow and I'm still undecided on options, I'll be leasing the car if that helps, so I thought maybe I shouldn't skimp on some option like i was planing if I had bought it. So what do you guys think are must have options? I live in a cold state so Heated seats are a must for me. Anything else?
Oh yea the car color is between the SGM or AW. Thanks!! |
