maintenance aside, if you let the dealers do your service then there is a huge gtr tax, other than that. Its just like owning any other car. The big turnoff for me is the Nissan dealers, huge mistake to let them service the GTR.
Other than that, just like owning any other car but attention magnet no matter what age you are, they dont look at you lol which is a good thing. |

Well... that's what a Lieutenant Colonel told me a few years back when he was the first one in this area of Germany with a US spec GTR. And... it was 2.5K euros!! lol

So there IS also a GTR tax in Germany!!! lol
but really 18k miles is the first trans fluid change, mostly the fluid which is expensive, almost $800 is all fluid except the cabin and oil filter total around $800. So in euros plus labor might be that high, plus I got my stuff in a group buy to get the low price. Hence I love car forums, save me money and also very informative. |

I've never had a chance to take a GT-R around but I personally think its an amazing car.
I was looking at replacing my 1M with a GT-R but the prices were still very high (Around the High 70's). If you can find a good deal I wouldn't hesitate, I'm sure you'll have a blast driving it around and its also not that common of a car. Regarding the cost of servicing, you have to take it into account. I was looking at the P-Cars as well and decided to stray from it because of the overall maintenance costs associated with the Run-In services. |

Well the guy that writes for WSJ found only 2 problems with the 1M--still too heavy and a "buttaface". The comparison is all too subjective, but my version is that the GTR misses by virtue of being WAY too heavy and seriously fugly! That is before you get to the fact that too cranky for the street and too expensive in every way for the track. Fortunately we don't all want the same thing!

09 GTR's can be had for low 60's. Even below 20K miles. I'm kicking myself for not jumping on Dan Parker's car.
