Anyone have opinions regarding matte vs gloss on an AW?

Seems like gloss would match the shadowline trim better, but is the matte finish more durable and would it get less ratty over time?

I have the carbon lip, but i am currently 7000 miles away from my 1M. The lip is still in the packaging and i have not even seen it yet. It will be fitted at the end of this month and i can post some pictures then if that will help ?

Any issues with negotiating steep driveways? How much ground clearance do you lose? Definitely want this but I already occasionally scrape my driveway. Can some owners chime in?

I put this on because things were starting to look ragged underneath despite being really careful with curbs etc. I haven't changed how I drive and I don't think the lip has made contact with obstacles at any higher rate than without. That may seem counterintuitive but I havent found that the minimal decrease in ride height causes any greater frequency of contact / scraping.

Just received my Gloss Black front splitter and it looks great!

Now just need to find the time to get it installed but we are so busy at the moment it might have to wait.....
