FEELER/FS:: 2 VMR 710's and 4 conti. tires
PICS BELOW.. OK guys, I am switching over to my winter setup very soon and I am going to be going to a different setup come next spring so I want to sell what I have now. The wheels I orig. wanted to keep, however the 2 I am selling I got some curb rash unfortunately. The wheels and tires both as of right now only have around 850 miles, so otherwise very little wear. But the curb rash on the wheels is pretty noticeable, the right wheel has curb rash on about 1/3 of the outer edge and the right wheel has it on about 1/4. I figure someone on here could buy these wheels with the intention of having them sanded and repainted, or someone who doesnt mind curb rash as much. The wheels otherwise are in perfect condition, all the other faces and insides of the wheels are perfect. The color is satin bronze powdercoat, a very unique and AWESOME looking color, especially for darker colored cars. The two I am selling are 8.5/18 VMR 710's. They cost $300 for each wheel and the powdercoat brand new, and since they have very few miles on them still and have no other cosmetic defects other than the rash, I am looking for $150 each, so $300 for the 2 picked up. Id really rather have someone pick these up or meet me halfway that kinda thing, however if you would like them shipped you are responsible for the cost. I am also selling my 4 continental extreme contact DW tires, fronts are 225/40/18's and the rears are 255/35/18's. Like I said, as of now they only have around 850 miles, probably no more than 1500 miles by the time I switch out for my winter setup, so VERY little treadwear. I am selling these tires because they were a little stretched for the size wheels I have, the conti extremecontact DW's have a slightly slimmer tread width than most, its part of the tires specific design but I didnt really realize this until I installed them, so they seem a bit stretched on the size wheels I have. I wouldve been fine with 235's up front and 265 in the rear but I didnt know that at the time. So I am selling these for anyone who wants them. They would likely be PERFECT for someone with oem wheels or 8" - 9" front and back width wheels. They ride AMAZINGLY, they make zero noise and handle the road very well for a daily driver tire. The fronts are $160 each (not including shipping) new from TR, I would like to get $110, so $220 for both picked up. The rears are $211 each new from TR, I would like to get $160 for each so $320 for both picked up. As with the wheels, I would like to sell these local, however I will ship them at the buyers expense. I will sell them as the fronts and the rears, or all 4 together, however I will not sell just one tire. Either have to buy the 2 fronts or rears or all 4 together. I will post pics of the 2 wheels soon, the tires you can go on TR and see what they look like there. Any questions just ask and like I said I will be switching over to my winter setup probably around november, so this would be a good time to buy your set of spring/summer tires now and have em ready, same for the wheels. Other than the curbage, the wheels are just a bit dirty, I will clean them for sure before someone buys them however. front right wheel Closeup of curbage front left wheel closeup of curbage Specs on front and rear tires Showing tread design Last edited by thez99; 10-31-2010 at 12:17 AM.. |
