Another T&C Story
So I pulled into the service area today asking the service rep (might of been from the Mini side) why my passenger window keeps dropping down half way when i close it ( I know lots of ppl have this issue from the rants I read in the service/warranty section) He tells me because I tinted my windows so the thickness of the glass is affecting some sensor and it just needs to be reprogrammed. Fine, whatever you say.
Then i complain why my breaks are squealing like crazy (REAL BAD). He said BMW's are like this and its also possible how you drive it....I'm like WTF i only got 4,000km on my car, how can i put any wear on the brakes. He then said they can do some crap to it (sanding it down?), but its not under warranty!! WOW excellent service!! He pretty much said if you drive a BMW expect this. I made an appointment to go in another time, lets hope the person I deal with is more helpful. |

My brakes are squeal horribly too... It is embarrassing, I cant even drive with my windows down in traffic because it is so loud.
A BMW employee tells me the way they 'deal' with customers complaining about this is that they take off the wheels and clean the rotors. Squeal will come back in a few days though. Then for the people who still complain incessantly, they replace the pads with pads that have less bite, and also less squeal - Car won't stop as quick. My pads are almost done anyways, I will try some aftermarket ones after this, I think even more aggressive aftermarket pads will squeal less. I have had very aggressive pads on my M Coupes in the past and they didn't squeal nearly as much as these stock 135i ones to. |

I got the same window problem. TC tell me the same thing. But when I bring it to Parkview, they say the motor in the window has some problem. And they fix it for me.
